French Art Deco Tub Club Chairs

Pair of Period French Art Deco Tub Round Backed Club Chairs.  Art Deco French round Tub backed club chairs in good condition.  Period pair of Art Deco Tub chairs with individualy carved front legs having wonderful details.  This pair is perfect for a design project that will require new upholstry and priced to allow for this.   New Upholstrey is highly recomended.
Dating from the 1920s.  This design is often attributted and associated with the work of prominent designers from that era, such as Paul Follot or André Groult. The chairs feature a classic "tub" or gondola shape, characterized by a rounded back that curves seamlessly into the armrests.  Constructed from walnut. The front of the armrests features reeded fluted uprights topped with intricate floral rosette carvings. The apron below the seat is decorated with a rectangular carved panel, often a hallmark of Art Deco's blend of traditional and geometric motifs.  The chairs stand on tapered, fluted legs at the front, which reflect a Louis XVI influence often found in French Deco  Each chair has a thick, loose seat cushion with deep seats and high backs designed for comfort as well as style.
