19th century Cypress Wood Screen Doors Set of 6 pieces. This set of six Chinese antique screen doors dates to the 19th century (circa 1850) during the late Qing Dynasty. They are regional vernacular architectural panels, salvaged from a substantial merchant home courtyard estate in Northern China Shanxi province.  The latice design The top half features an intricate, interlocking geometric maze pattern. This design traditional fretwork or stylized "cracked ice" (binglie). In Chinese culture, the melting of ice symbolizes the arrival of spring, renewal, and thawing fortune.
